Purpose...To provide CCJM readers — general internists and cardiologists — with brief, evidence-based updates on important, timely, or difficult clinical questions. Style...The style of the article should be similar to that of a CME presentation, using a minimum of jargon and highlighting key points and new developments that the internist can quickly incorporate into his or her practice. Format...A single, focused clinical question, followed by a 1-page answer (no more than 1 to 2 typed, double-spaced pages.) Content...The answer should be confined to the specific question. Although unfamiliar terms should be explained, some basic familiarity with an issue on the part of the reader can be assumed. Answers should be evidence-based, with a few key references and suggested reading. For more information: Feel free to contact either the Journal editor-in-chief, Dr. John D. Clough, deputy editor Dr. Brian Mandell, or the executive editor, Phillip E. Canuto, at: Cleveland
