This supplement is based on the complete proceedings of a satellite symposium held in March 2006 prior to the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Annual Scientific Session. The symposium was not part of the official ACC Annual Scientific Session as planned by the Annual Scientific Session Program Committee. Articles in this supplement were developed by the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine staff based on transcripts of faculty presentations at the symposium, and then each article was revised and approved by the respective author/presenter.
