In Reply: Type 2 diabetes prevention after acute pancreatitis

We thank Dr. Fan for the thoughtful discussion on the importance of screening for type 3c diabetes mellitus following an episode of acute pancreatitis. We agree with the barriers identified and appreciate the author’s recommendation for screening intervals. The author’s discussion adds important details to our paper and reinforces the points made in our review.1
