AB Physician awareness of the feasibility of outpatient therapy has increased in response to the recent emphasis on medical cost containment. As a result, both health care institutions and commercial concerns are working rapidly to provide supplies and services for patients receiving therapy, such as intravenous antibiotic therapy, at home.
