There is no known evidence of SARS-CoV-2 transmission through handling of COVID-19 victim remains. However, guidelines recommend appropriate precautions to ensure safety from any potential risk. Discussions of safe and dignified postmortem care in COVID-19 cases can guide future decision making to encourage safety, dignity, and respect for all.
