The previous version of the American Diabetes Association’s consensus report on the diagnosis and treatment of DKA and HHS was published 15 years ago. The updated consensus report (June 2024) introduces revised criteria for the diagnosis and resolution of DKA and HHS, as well as new recommendations for assessment, management, and prevention.
