AB The latest recommendations for preventing and treating glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis, published by the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) in 2010, incorporate developments that occurred since the release of its 2001 guidelines, such as new drugs and the World Health Organization’s Fracture Risk Assessment Tool, or FRAX. They outline a more targeted approach but have the possible disadvantage of being more complicated and therefore harder to use.
