AB  - Prescription audits document that patients with resistant hypertension are often treated with several vasodilators, with less emphasis on diuretics and beta-blockers. Patients who do not respond to several vasodilators appear to be vasodilator-insensitive; they may be a selected-out cohort who require diuresis or catecholamine suppression for further blood pressure control.
