Lauer %T Screening for coronary heart disease: Has the time for universal imaging arrived? %D 2007 %J Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine %P 645-656 %V 74 %N 9 %X The Screening for Heart Attack Prevention and Education (SHAPE) Task Force has recommended a strategy of screening for coronary heart disease in which nearly all middle-aged and older adults would undergo an imaging test. However, this approach is not supported by evidence and is not endorsed by professional societies or the US Preventive Services Task Force.
