AB  - The Screening for Heart Attack Prevention and Education (SHAPE) Task Force has recommended a strategy of screening for coronary heart disease in which nearly all middle-aged and older adults would undergo an imaging test. However, this approach is not supported by evidence and is not endorsed by professional societies or the US Preventive Services Task Force. Physicians should follow established guidelines such as those of the third Adult Treatment Panel of the National Cholesterol Education Program.
