Depending on the specific histology, site of origin of a metastatic lesion, extent to which the cancer has spread, and comorbid medical conditions, women with these less-common neoplasms may be candidates for aggressive surgical intervention, systemic chemotherapy, or therapy focused on symptom management and comfort.
