RT Journal Article SR Electronic T1 Uveitis in the internist’s office: Are a patient’s eye symptoms serious? JF Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine JO Cleve Clin J Med FD Cleveland Clinic SP 329 OP 339 VO 72 IS 4 A1 Hajj-Ali, Rula A. A1 Lowder, Careen A1 Mandell, Brian F. YR 2005 UL http://www.ccjm.org/content/72/4/329.abstract AB Uveitis is an inflammatory process that may affect one or several specific areas of the eye. But when a patient presents to an internist with eye symptoms, be it photophobia, “floaters,” or red eye, the diagnosis is not always clear. If the diagnosis of uveitis is made, internists must search for an underlying cause, such as infection or an autoimmune disease.
