AB  - To control diabetic retinopathy, we need not only to detect it promptly, but also to manage common systemic comorbid conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, anemia, obstructive sleep apnea, and smoking—all of which tend to accelerate its course and increase its severity.
