AB  - Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is a manifestation of an underlying pathologic process such as cancer, infection, trauma, or obstetric catastrophe. It can manifest as thrombosis, bleeding, or both. To succeed, treatment must address the underlying cause.
