YR 2005 UL http://www.ccjm.org/content/72/7/559.abstract AB Patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI) with ST-segment elevation have better outcomes with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) than with fibrinolytic therapy. Multiple clinical trials in the past 10 years have addressed ways to improve PCI as primary therapy for acute MI. Logistic strategies to improve access to PCI are being studied.
