AB  - Newer theories suggest that patients with fibromyalgia have a biologic predisposition to perceiving pain with more sensitivity than people without fibromyalgia. Several biologic triggers are implicated as possibly initiating or worsening the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Treatments to manage pain, help with sleep, and, when needed, treat cognitive disturbances show some success.
