Isoflavone supplements may therefore be an important tool for men concerned about prostate disease, such as those with benign prostatic hypertrophy undergoing watchful waiting or those concerned about the potential for prostate cancer. Conclusive proof of a relationship between isoflavones and the prevention and treatment of prostate disease can only come from prospective, randomized, controlled clinical trials.
