Tomographic cardiovascular imaging tests, ie, intravascular ultrasonography (IVUS), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), can be used to assess atherosclerotic plaques responsible for early, silent disease and may become important tools for early detection and prevention.
