AB  - A case is reported of lambda light chain multiple myeloma complicated by a myelomatous pleural effusion. Pleural effusions are uncommon in multiple myeloma, and most are secondary to nonmalignant causes. The clinical characteristics, natural history and pathophysiology of myelomatous pleural effusions are reviewed.
