AB  - Cardiac involvement in polymyositis has recently been found to be more prevalent than had been believed, and its clinical spectrum to be wide and variable. Recent studies suggest that cardiac abnormalities are seen in approximately 75% of patients with polymyositis. The usual manifestations are congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, heart blocks, and electrocardiographic abnormalities. This case report describes the diagnosis and clinical course of cardiac polymyositis in a 57-year-old woman.
