Furthermore, repeated surgical procedures are poorly tolerated in these immunosuppressed and often azotemic patients. In the past few years, nonoperative endourologic procedures have been employed to temporize or even definitively manage many high-risk urologic patients with obstructive uropathy or urinary fistulas.
