AB The authors compare the advantages and disadvantages of duplex sonography to arteriography and intravenous digital subtraction angiography for the evaluation of an asymptomatic carotid bruit. Overall, the use of duplex sonography is favored due to its lack of morbidity and competitive diagnostic accuracy.
