AB Although amphotericin B remains the cornerstone of antifungal drug therapy, fluconazole and itraconazole have been found useful for long-term maintenance or prophylactic regimens. This article reviews characteristics of fluconazole and itraconazole and compares them with ketoconazole and amphotericin B.
