AB Antileukotriene agents may be reasonable and safe alternatives or adjuncts to inhaled steroid therapy in chronic asthma, as they act at sites further down in the inflammatory cascade. This article reviews the clinical experience with three antileukotriene agents and discusses their role in the management of asthma.
