YR 1990 UL http://www.ccjm.org/content/57/5/453.abstract AB Lyme disease is a systemic infection with protean clinical manifestations. In the past decade the disease has evolved from a medical curiosity to the most common vector-borne disease in the United States. The diverse clinical manifestations together with the lack of standardized serologic tests pose a significant diagnostic challenge for the practicing physician. The epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and recommended therapy of Lyme borreliosis are reviewed.
