Or a combination of a beta-lactam plus a macrolide
Intensive care patients
A beta-lactam
Plus either a macrolide or a fluoroquinolone
Add coverage as needed for:
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Influenza A
